Finally, a fulfilling and *productive* summer break! I remember the days not too long ago when my brother and I used to just laze around the house after completing our chores without a single recreational/educational thing to do while we watched the thermostat hover around 80 degrees and complained about a lack of entertaining TV shows — I don’t miss those days a single bit.
Now, gosh, everyday is something new. I’ve replaced my fancy for Counter-Strike in 9th grade with a similar one for Jedi Academy (jjjhhhheeewww, lol, Sunny), and have taken up learning Maya to resolve world hunger and initiate world peace. I’ve once again broken a promise to myself involving sleeping before midnight (kudos to Sunny, I owe ya one, lol) XD. Why did I see this coming?! Going to sleep at 6 AM and waking up at… when else? 6 PM! It’s definitely a good feeling when you wake up, look at the clock, take a glance at the window, and think that it’s dawn instead of dusk. Eventually, Calculus tutoring will start and that’ll keep me occupied as will the NBA finals! I hope the Pistons have their *sses hand to them!
Newt Gingrich! Wow, I’m being accompanied by THREE members of the House of Leaves to Barnes and Noble to meet the former Speaker of the House – Paul “The Aryan” Mokrzycki, Kevin “Boy-Toy” Choi, and Dizanny Johnson. We get a chance to meet our probable, future Vice President before he becomes the next target of the mass media. Play on, fellow Republicans.
Next summer, I might have my wish of travelling to “a few” different places in Europe fulfilled including Paris, Rome, LONDON, a hint of Greece, a dab of Berlin, and some other undetermined places. The most important destination, in my car fanatic mentality, will be the Mercedes Benz factory in Germany since my dad wants to try out the European Delivery Program thing they have for a new car. As for THIS summer, I envy those who are able to travel to such distant places:
Li, have a wonderful remaining time in Taiwan and, well, strut your “playa’” skillz! You’re going big time now… hitting the international market and all. Hahaha…
James, you deserve that retreat to Valencia, Spain, but keep in mind that once you get back, Harvard applications start. Heh, have a great remaining trip man. I can’t wait for you to submit that remarkable application!
And for everyone else travelling or simply staying at home and enjoying our *wonderful* weather, may you each have a fulfilling and relaxing summer break before we get to the dreaded half-way point. Don’t deny it, I’m not the ONLY one who knows when we’re past the half way mark in our summer break and spiraling downhill into another school year.
Happy First-Half-of-Summer-Breaking!
