Gay Penguins – A Political Nightmare

Has anyone else seen this week’s headlines in Germany? People are pouring in money to “straighten” gay penguins.
This brings to mind a world of questions:
- How do you know if a penguin is gay?
- Why do you care if a penguin is gay?
- Aren’t there better things to report on the news?
- Will gay penguins have rights before gay humans?
With my conservative background, I’m against same gender marriage, but that’s another topic. I just find it funny how all the Gay/Lesbian foundations/groups/associations/whatever are no longer rallying with each other, but defending the “rights” of the penguins!

Um, actually those gay rights groups are talking about how interesting it is that those gay penguins seem to have more rights than gay humans do. They aren’t no longer rallying for gay human rights causes.

Do gay/lesbian humans actually think that pointing fingers at penguins will increase public support for their plight? They’re better off doing what they did in the first place – peaceful protests, rallies, etc.

Well actually, you are missing the point, bc if the penguins are gay and are raising offspring abandoned by the biological parents, then it means that homosexuality is, in fact, a NATURALLY OCCURRING variant in nature. Unless penguins are also being somehow exposed to that liberal “HomosexSHUL agenda”.
This same phenomena has occurred in other species across this earth, so why would humans be any different?
It would also mean sexual orientation is NOT, in fact, a choice – something the evangelical right continues to say that it is — by saying it’s a “lifestyle choice”, etc. Choice is not afforded protection under the law.
Thus, if it is something one is “born” with and NOT a choice (not necessarily equivalent with genetic – there are other reasons one could be “born” that way), then it would be a form of discrimination to stop them from getting married.

people who dont “believe” in gay marriage don’t believe in equality in law and separation of church and state, you can believe what you want in your home, but don’t say two HUMANS cant get married, ignorance will only hurt you in the long run

I don’t think it’s a matter of ignorance. It’s an opinion which I myself follow. I don’t go around preaching to people that they should be straight. In fact, I know several accomplished individuals of gay orientation and have absolutely nothing against them. My perspective just happens to conflict with yours.
Thanks for the comment!
Also, in my short life experience, I’ve come to learn that there is never equality in law.
