Jonathan “Quoc” Tran for Mr. HBU

As the spring semester draws to a conclusion, a lot of seniors are looking forward to the “Senior Awards” at Honors Convocation. As an alumnus who was privileged to receive the title of Mr. HBU last year, I began to wonder who should rightfully be bestowed the honor this year. One name in particular came to mind – Jonathan Tran.
On the award itself, it says that Mr. HBU “epitomizes the ideal HBU student in character, leadership, scholarship, service, and spiritual life.” If you were to ask someone who really knows Jonathan about his commitment to any of the aforementioned characteristics, I’m sure they can describe actions where he showcased those traits. His exceptionally high academic standards have been continually met with equally high dedication to service. His outgoing and sociable nature promote camaraderie in any given environment while simultaneously promoting his credibility as a leader.
I could go on and on, but if you know Jonathan, I need not say more. 
To vote for Jonathan, please follow these simple steps:
- Log onto your HBU Blackboard Account
- Look under “Campus Announcements” on the top right side for “VOTE FOR YOUR MR.HBU AND MS.HBU”
- Vote for Jonathan Tran for Mr. HBU!

I’ve seen this guy around school before. I heard he’s smart. I heard he’s pretty good at volleyball. He has a lot of honor cords around his neck. I saw a picture of Dr. Woods hugging him after graduation. If Dr. Woods thought he was deserving of a hug then I guess he is deserving of Mr. HBU.
Okay, I’ll vote for him just because of my last statement.
