Superbowl Sunday

Maybe it’s just me, but this is the first Super Bowl where I wasn’t hyped up about the pre-game, the actual game, the half-time show, or the commercials. Heck, I didn’t even remember the Super Bowl was being played today until I was reminded a few nights ago. I’ve never been much of a TV person, but in the past few years, I remember Super Bowl advertisements on all sorts of channels at all times of the day. Heh, maybe the NFL is also feeling the financial burden of these harsh economic times.
I’ve never really been a football fan after the Houston team was named “the Texans.” Seriously, that’s the best name a bunch of “important decision-makers” came up with? I’ll never forgive them.
At least the Rockets won last night (without Tracy McGrady, if I may add). Apparently, someone hurt his feelings yesterday morning which caused an underlying injury in his pinky finger to jump to his little toe. Or at least that’s what I was told.
So against all probability, I’m actually *voluntarily* reading a book. Has my life really become this boring? Each day, the limits of my stress are determined by the amount of time that goes into picking which game I’m going to play – Counter-Strike Source, Grand Theft Auto IV, Brood War, or none of the above. Heh, it’s quite relaxing as I’m sure you can imagine.
Anyways, Riya lent me Gifted Hands (the story of Dr. Ben Carson), and I’ve found it to be pretty interesting! I knew a lot about his biography from doing some research on my own time, but it’s nice to read his life story as told by the man himself.
Also, I’m booked to vacation in Hawaii with my family this May. If any of you have been there and would like to share some ideas regarding activities in Honolulu, I’d really appreciate it!
Hope everyone has a great Superbowl Sunday!
