New Physician Blog

There’s a new physician blog on the corner, and this one happens to be by the pediatric surgeon who not only taught me embryology but also about maintaining a routine (and sanity) throughout medical school.

As a naïve medical student, her advice throughout Core Concepts helped put things into perspective, molded my expectations both inside and outside of the profession, and instantly made me fee that “real doctors know what we’re going through too.” In block 4, I wrote a short blurb about some advice she gave during the last head/neck embryology lecture, but there’s so much more she continues to offer students as a mentor, role model, and quintessential example of humanism. :-)

I’m really looking forward to her updates, and I encourage you to check her blog out: Wellness Rounds – “Don’t Hurt Anything That Has a Name”

As a third year medical student at Baylor College of Medicine, my posts are intended to educate others and share my experiences from this incredible journey without violating patient privacy at all costs. These blurbs are not to serve as a replacement for recommendations provided by licensed physicians under any circumstance.
