Woopra Analytics allows administrators to exclude statistics based on a number of criteria (IP address, user names, etc.) However, for websites with only one administrator, a better approach would be to prevent loading the Woopra javascript (JS) in the first place whenever the admin accesses the site.

When modifying a WordPress theme’s comments section, developers may want to include a particular comment’s number in the flow of the other comments of a given post/page. For example, if you look at the meta section of any comment on this site, you’ll see that I’ve incorporated such a feature. Do I have a reason? […]

I came across a situation where I had to go through my WordPress database to update the URL information for one of my frequent commenters in light of his new domain name. Rather than modifying each of his comments one by one, I sought a single database query which would reflect the update.

12/13/10 – This post has been modified in light of the new XCache release (1.3.2). Please follow the walkthrough to upgrade your server. Once in a while, I’ll come across a program or utility which is simply remarkable. As far as web development on Mac OS X, I sought a program which would optimistically eliminate my simultaneous usage of the Terminal (for SSH), Dreamweaver (for… everything else), and Transmit (for FTP). Come to find out, Panic Inc. has […]

Here’s a tutorial I’ve written to help the web-optimization junkies out there get eAccelerator, FastCGI, and zlib compression working on their BlueHost accounts.
