Trying to be Green

I spent the majority of today cleaning each room in the house, and then laying down a pesticide in anticipation for springtime critters. It was a perfect chance for me to implement something I read in a magazine to make the house “greener” (and lower the electric bill).
Facebook Groups for Lost/Stolen/Damaged Phones

Is anyone else even slightly perturbed by the number of Facebook groups dedicated to retrieving phone numbers? I’ll occasional browse random friends’ profiles and come across their “Groups” section. What do I find? “Help, *** ***** needs your phone number!” or “MY CELL PHONE WAS STOLEN! I need your number!” or “MY PHONE DROWNED, GIMME […]
Before I Start Medical School…

Since I’ll be staying home in Houston for medical school, there’s no sense of urgency for “one last hurrah” before beginning my journey. Nevertheless, I’ll be vacationing in Hawaii this May and getting my feet wet with some notes from a current BCM MS1.

This morning, I received an HID (high intensity discharge) conversion kit for my roadster, and I must say, it was a fantastic investment. I found a reason to try out the new headlights tonight, and not only did I see the unlit portions of the Grand Parkway like never before, but I was able to […]

I’ve been out of school for ten months. Heh, the last time most of us could say that was back in our very early childhood. The funny thing is that I just realized it. It seems that my graduation in May ’08 was only last month, and since then, I’ve remained productive with things outside of medicine. […]

Today was a pretty routine day – woke up, did a lot of laundry, cleaned up around the house, went to the gym, fertilized our vegetable plants, and helped my mom cook dinner. Throughout the day, I kept my eye on the stock market, and it’s sad to say, but we’ve reached a point where […]
Cooler Weather

I’m afraid that spring is around the corner, and the temperatures in Houston are eager to get back into the 90′s. Fortunately, a cold front moved through last night bringing a very breezy Saturday to those who waited, so I tried to be productive in light of the favorable weather. I spent half an hour […]
Another Trip to the Galleria

I took my mom to the Galleria for the second time this afternoon. We went straight to Neiman Marcus, purchased a black sapphire bracelet and a diamond bracelet by John Hardy, and then went to eat at Mayuri Indian Restaurant on Westheimer.
