According to the recently updated US News and World Report medical school rankings, there’s a new #1 medical school in Texas – UT Southwestern in Dallas. I was expecting Baylor Med’s rank to fall in 2010 but never anticipated it to regress to this degree.
This past Wednesday, I had the privilege of going to Ben Taub with several classmates as part of our mandatory “clinical ethics rounds.” Though I can’t discuss the patient and/or symptoms (HIPAA), it’s fair to say that what I saw spurred something inside of me.
During Baylor Med’s interview season, many interviewees asked me when the US News and World Report rankings for medical schools (and other graduate schools) come out, and I was spot on with my guess – the middle of April.
