It’s kind of sad. As far as birthdays go, there are only a few major “milestones” most people recognize. 13 signifies the beginning of teenhood. 16 grants you a driver’s license. 18 allows you to vote. 21 allows you to drink. But what’s after that?
Upon completing two decades of life, I’ve reassured myself of one concept that I continue to hold dear — friendship. Thanks to everyone who acknowledged me on my birthday: for the party, for the gifts, and most importantly, for the memories of the past year. I’m better for having each one of you in my life, and I hope you can take this message as a simple token of my gratitude for making this birthday one to remember! Thank you!
