Texas Medical Board Physician-In-Training Permit

As part of the paperwork for residency, we have to get a “physician-in-training” permit through the state. $220-ish dollars for a piece of paper and entry in a database. Nice.

In all seriousness, this is where it all begins. Websites like HealthGrades and RateMDs will soon have my name in their registries. Patients will be rating me as their physician. And I’ll carry two letters behind my name which symbolize the pinnacle of years of education (with a lifetime to go). I’m excited about reaching this milestone and am humbled by the prospect of healing those in need! 🙂
