2017 Anesthesiology In-Training Exam (ITE) Preparation

I have roughly six weeks till my last in-training exam (ITE) of residency. I’ve taken this exam every February since 2014, and although my PGY-2 and PGY-3 ITEs were incredibly important for fellowship applications, studying for my PGY-4 ITE will be a great preparation for the advanced portion of my written boards this summer.

I’ve been reading Miller’s Anesthesia for several months this academic year, but now it’s time to transition back to question banks and the high yield testable content. I’ll primarily be using notes I’ve taken on ACE questions, Hall, M5, and TrueLearn supplemented by Faust’s Anesthesiology Review.

Statistically, PGY-4s score worse than PGY-3s… maybe because we’re mentally “checked out” of residency? Here’s hoping I can live up to my previous scores! 🙂

  1. Best of luck….. Seems that you’re a Miller lover whether intubating or studying…. Could I get samples of your previous years exams if possible please just to test myself a bit as we don’t sit for many exams throughout our residency here… Thanks a lot

    • Haha, yeah, living that Miller life! 😉 We only get our score and a list of topics we answered incorrectly, so unfortunately I don’t have any sample questions/exams!
