I’ve been getting out from work fairly late these days due to a new system the pain services have implemented regarding post-operative consultations for pain management. Invariably, I end up having to see a bunch of consults in the late afternoon.
Yesterday I caught a glimpse of Texas Heart Institute’s atrium lit up as I walked to the Metro Light Rail station. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, it was a nice reminder of how grateful I should be for having the opportunity to train in the world’s largest medical center.
I’m so very thankful for my family, colleagues, training, and especially for my patients who entrust me with the most precious gift of all: their well-being. 🙂
I’m also glad my Internet is finally working… and Calvin “Megatron” Johnson is RAKING IN fantasy points… and I was promoted to Master Guardian I in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. 😀
