No Shave November 2015

A little peer pressure last month convinced me to take part in No Shave November for the first time this year. For those who aren’t familiar with this organization, here’s an excerpt from their site:

The goal of NoShave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.

Before and after

Working at a top notch cancer institution this month has also driven home what these patients actually go through on a daily basis! It’s eye-opening and incredibly humbling. Unfortunately, I had to shave before I start my fellowship interview trail.

Hope to continue this next year! 🙂
