I’m finished with my first call shift as a senior resident. The shift itself was rather uneventful, so I had a chance to study and set up the operating rooms for today’s cases.
On my way out, I took this (very amateur) panorama from the rooftop of a parking garage in the Texas Medical Center. In this image, you can see portions of four hospitals where I’ve done rotations as a medical student and now as a resident physician. From left to right: Texas Children’s Hospital, CHI St. Luke’s Health, Texas Heart Institute, and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
I’m back on call tomorrow, so I’m going to enjoy, uh, staying indoors for the rest of the afternoon. Because it’s ridiculously hot outside. 🙁
