As part of my cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship, we are required to submit an abstract to present at the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists annual meeting. This will be in May 2019 in Chicago!
With my critical care background and interest in technology, echocardiography was undoubtedly something I wanted to focus on. Using the transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) skills I garnered last year coupled with the transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) techniques I’m currently learning during this fellowship, I pursued a project involving both imaging modalities to analyze the mitral valve after MitraClip procedures.
Can’t go into much more depth, but I’m hoping the abstract gets accepted! 🙂
