To complete my “smart apartment” setup before the end of 2019, I purchased an LG OLED TV for the bedroom, along with Philips Hue light strips, similar to those I installed in the living room. I wanted to wall mount this TV, but realized that my apartment uses metal studs, and the lag bolts that came with the wall mount wouldn’t suffice. I went back to Walmart late last night (open 24 hours, even on a Sunday, woo!) to get a drill and toggle bolts. After a few minutes of measurement/leveling, I made the necessary holes in the sheetrock and bolted the mount.
Here are a few pictures from the process. I plan on hiding the cables with a paintable cover in the near future.
