FITCAMX Dash Cam For Porsche Taycan

One of the many tech advantages of having a Tesla is utilizing the vehicle’s external cameras to detect and record activity while driving and parked (“Sentry Mode”). This feature isn’t something for the Taycan, so I installed an aftermarket dash cam and went with the FITCAMX 4K Dash Cam.

This dash cam features an OEM-style integration that leverages the factory rain sensor cover for a clean aesthetic. The installation was incredibly straightforward: no splicing, no dangling wires, and full compatibility with the vehicle’s power supply (it took maybe an hour, although it would have been much faster if I had better lighting rather than doing this in my apartment’s garage, 😂).

The FITCAMX powers on with the vehicle, records in 2160p resolution, and uploads clips to the FITCAMX app over Wi-Fi. The wide dynamic range does a great job preserving detail in both bright and low-light conditions, and the built-in G-sensor ensures incident footage is saved securely. The installation preserves the minimalist, futuristic vibe of the Taycan’s cabin without any suction mounts or visible cabling.

Here are some pictures from the installation process:
