Day 1 Of Medicine Sub-I

What a return to the clinical scene! Although my upper-level resident is switching, I’ve gotten to know the two MS2s and two interns I’ll be working with for the next four weeks. I couldn’t be happier with this group!

I actually didn’t forget as much as I originally thought – we have two lungs, two eyes, and two kidneys. Tomorrow, I’ll remember what they actually do! 馃槈 In all seriousness, there are certain aspects of patient care which are akin to riding a bike: “once you learn, you don’t forget.”

And in true gunner fashion, I’m bringing my team kolaches and donuts tomorrow morning… you know… to spur a conversation about metabolic syndrome and diabetes. 馃槈 Here’s hoping the rest of the month goes smoothly!
