27th Birthday

These annual birthday posts are such a nice way for me to reflect on how far I’ve come as a medical professional; however, today I’ll spend my 27th birthday in the operating room doing some pretty complex cases. And it’s raining. And I’m tired. Boo. 馃檨

Last year I wrote:

By my next birthday, I will have completed my intern year and be well into my general anesthesia training as a PGY-2 (CA-1).

Boy does it feel good to be done with intern year! Next year, I’ll be over half-way done with residency and on my way to becoming a senior resident! I’m thankful for all of those who made this last year so incredibly memorable – I’m looking forward to what the coming year has to bring. 馃檪
