Labor Day Weekend 2014 – NFL Fantasy Football

Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day! I’m off to an early start this morning trying to get some studying in before my swing shift (12pm – 8pm) today. Early parts of swing shifts consist of breaking out my colleagues from their respective operating rooms, so they can grab lunch. Later on, I’ll be helping the call team prep the stat rooms/airway boxes and likely be taking over a case or starting a new one. Overall, not bad for an eight hour shift. Definitely beats the twice-as-long call shift I’ll be on tomorrow.

Morning sustenance

In other news, I took part in my first NFL fantasy football draft yesterday evening with other people from the anesthesia department. I had the fourth pick (of ten players). Here’s my starting roster:

  • Quarterback: Andrew Luck
  • Wide Receivers: A.J. Green, Pierce Garcon, Torrey Smith
  • Running Backs: Adrian Peterson, Le’Veon Bell
  • Tight End: Jason Witten
  • Kicker: Steven Hauschka
  • Defense: St. Louis

We’ll see how (poorly) I do. 馃檪
