Half an hour before I received my CA-2 in-training exam score last week, I accepted a very humbling offer by my program director to be one of the chief anesthesiology residents for the 2016-2017 academic year.
As a chief, I’ll serve as a liaison between the anesthesiology trainees, faculty, other departments, and our recruitment efforts at large. My sincere goal is to promote ways we can improve anesthesiology education to train lifelong learners who advocate patient safety above all else. Additionally, I want to continue empowering trainees to identify and resolve problems we encounter at the various institutions we rotate through.
So excited to almost be starting my last year of residency! 🙂
