My critical care ultrasound exam is tomorrow! It’s the first time this exam is being offered, so there’s really no consensus on how to study. That being said, I’ve gone through relevant chapters from Perrino’s A Practical Approach To Transesophageal Echocardiography and reviews from the the Society of Critical Care Medicine to put together a set of concise notes coupled with things I’ve learned along the way to review for this exam.
These notes are free, and as such, I don’t guarantee the accuracy of their content or ease of interpretation (there might be typos, shorthands, incomplete areas, etc.) With that said, if you find any major errors, drop me a comment on this post with your suggestions! Have fun! 🙂
Do you know of a place to find practice questions for this exam?
Unfortunately, I don’t!
Hey Rishi your posts have been so informative. Thank you so much. Two days from boards. Wanted to see if you can recommend which formulas to focus on?
Hi there! I honestly don’t remember (its been so long), but continuity and the simplified Bernoulli equation sure do come up a lot!
Thank you very much! I’m looking forward to reading them! Best of luck on the exam
Thanks so much! It went well (I think!)
Thank you, Rishi… really informative. You have no idea how far this goes to helping rookies like me.
My sincere pleasure! I’m so happy to help!
Thanks Rishi ?
My pleasure! 🙂
