The Birth Of Odin – The Productivity Workstation
At the same time I built Bahamut, I also purchased an iMac Pro (dubbed Odin) to handle the majority of my day-to-day productivity tasks. It’s no surprise – I’m fully invested in the “Apple ecosystem” because of features like handoff/continuity, the inherent stability and security of MacOS, the “connectedness” of various devices (laptop, desktop, tablet, watch, smart apartment), and most importantly, the wonderful applications like Xcode, Coda 2, Transmit, and Final Cut Pro X. I bumped up the specifications slightly to make the device more “future proof” and also added two, vertically-oriented monitors flanking the device to facilitate programming, web browsing, etc.
