Triamcinolone

Triamcinolone acetonide (Kenalog) is a corticosteroid medication that is commonly used to treat a variety of inflammatory conditions. It is available in several forms, including oral tablets, injectable solutions, topical creams, and ointments.

Triamcinolone works by reducing inflammation in the affected area. It does this by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals involved in the immune response, such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. This helps to reduce swelling, redness, and discomfort associated with inflammation.

Triamcinolone treats many conditions, including asthma, allergies, skin conditions, and arthritis. It is also used to treat certain types of cancer, such as leukemia and lymphoma.

When taken orally, triamcinolone may cause side effects such as dyspepsia, nausea, and dizziness. When applied topically, it may cause skin irritation or dryness. Injections of triamcinolone may cause pain or swelling at the injection site.
