DJI Osmo Pocket 3

I recently purchased a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera to use on the go for my professional and personal workflows as a creativity tool.

One of the things that immediately stood out to me was the three-axis mechanical gimbal, which provides incredible stabilization technology. I’ve tried this out in fast-paced settings, and the sample videos are smooth and shake-free! This will be useful for workshops I’ll be doing for educational purposes.

Second, the video quality is great! With a large CMOS sensor (4K/120fps) for UHD footage capture, 10-bit color for up to 1.07 billion colors, and a 2-inch rotatable touchscreen, it’s so easy to start recording on a whim in 4K (or 3K in portrait orientation). The Smart Shooting modes, such as ActiveTrack and Panoramic, make it easy to capture professional-looking footage effortlessly. Switching between front-facing and rear-facing orientations is as simple as a click, and when I’m done, the gimbal rotates the sensor inwards for protection.

As far as portability, the Osmo Pocket 3 is also amazing! I put tempered glass screen protectors on the sensor and touchscreen, secured the wrist strap to the camera, and loaded it with a SanDisk Extreme Pro 512 GB microSD card. With everything combined (including the protective case), the camera weighs 244 grams. As a point for comparison, my iPhone 15 Pro Max with dbrand Ghost case weighs 268 grams. The Osmo Pocket 3 is only 185 grams, with an additional 22 grams if I use the extra handle.
