I’ve lived next to the Boston Symphony Hall for almost two years, so I have absolutely no excuse to miss out on attending a symphony before going home to Houston! Here are some pictures from my first symphony – Mendelssohn’s “Elijah.” Definitely a worthwhile experience!

Having lived in Texas for my entire life, snow was hard to come by. Our version of snow started in the sky and became water when it made contact with the ground. Boston’s first snow was this weekend, and to say I was overcome with joy is an understatement.
So I came across an interesting predicament a couple days ago. I save as much energy as possible, but I really like to have a cooler apartment when I’m sleeping. I tried turning on the air conditioning and was met with warm air over the weekend.
The Ether Dome at Massachusetts General Hospital is a historical site in medicine for serving as the amphitheater for the first public demonstration of surgical anesthesia by William T.G. Morton on October 16, 1946. Here are some pictures from when I visited. :-)
