24th Birthday
Nothing eventful at all this birthday – another long but rewarding day at Texas Children’s Hospital. Scrubbed into a five hour total colectomy followed up by an open gastrostomy. Straightforward cases… but I’ve never felt so tired from just standing in one place.

This birthday was pretty uneventful. I spent most of the day watching football. I’m so proud of the Texans for winning the incredible game against the Redskins, but even more ecstatic that the Cowboys are starting 0-2. Looking forward to the Saints’ game against the 49ers tomorrow! :-) With exams…

22nd Birthday
21 was a great age for me. I got into my dream medical school, earned a lot of money in the stock market, made some new friends at Baylor Med, etc. Thanks to everyone for their wishes! :-)
