The NBA All-Star events are being held in Houston this year! Growing up, my favorite segment of the weekend was the Slam Dunk Competition. Seeing greats like Vince Carter, Kobe Bryant, and Tracy McGrady really brought the competition up to a new level, but over the last few years, the…
It’s probably the last NBA fantasy season for my classmates, and out of the twelve of us, guess who was the lucky one to pick last? Yours truly, of course. Here’s my lineup for the 2012-2013 season:
I was one of a dozen participants in my class to take part in an NBA fantasy league draft this evening. Though I’m a huge NBA fan, this is my first time to actually partake in fantasy sports – hopefully it won’t be too much of a distraction from studying.
With Lebron James “taking [his] talents to South Beach [Miami Heat]” as of last night, teams which were previously contending for him are now scouring the league looking for players to round out their rosters. So what about Miami? Can a team with the talent of James, Wade, and Bosh…

For those NBA fans out there, perhaps you can also vouch for the surprising start for the Houston Rockets. Without Tracy McGrady, without Yao Ming, without Dikembe Mutombo (yes, he’s on par with the first two) and without Ron Artest, we’ve managed to stay over 500. Nearly escaping with a…
Is anyone else ridiculously worried about the Rockets hitting rock bottom after a season of showing the NBA’s top teams what true teamwork entails? :-( Sure, we picked up Trevor Ariza, but let’s be honest – he’s not enough.
In his debut season with the Houston Rockets, the once hot-headed Ron Artest had some pretty impressive numbers. He averaged the following per game in the ’08-’09 regular season:
