In 2022, I was humbled to be nominated for the hospital’s physician of the year, achieved diplomat status for critical care echocardiography, obtained my certification in medical quality (CMQ), bought the Batmobile (Tesla Model S Plaid), became the program director for our combined fellowship track in cardiothoracic anesthesiology and critical care medicine, and participated in speaking opportunities ranging from grand rounds at various institutions to being the commencement speaker at the Emory’s CAA Graduation!

2022 is also the year where I migrated from Google Analytics to Matomo (formerly Piwik) for metrics on my websites as well as my EchoTools app. I used Piwik off-and-on over the last decade, but I’ve decided to make this move permanent as I want to consolidate my data.

2023 will be a year where I begin preparing to apply for promotion to associate professor. I need to get involved with more research projects, and continue looking for opportunities to expand my outreach with free, open-access medical education! 🙂
